While sealant does prolong the lifetime of the pavers, lack of regulatory maintenance will still contribute to weed growth (weed come from seeds in the air), shifting of pavers and calcium build up. Sealant is for weathering, UV, protection, and creating a hydrophobic barrier. Maintenance is for sand replacement, cleaning of lime deposit, weed removal.
